School IT Support

Oxford IT Solutions offer flexible and personal IT support contracts, or an ad-hoc support service, along with server installations, wireless and wired networking and ceiling mounted projector and interactive white board installations to primary and secondary schools within Oxfordshire.

Support Contracts

Our support contracts come with a regular visit from a dedicated Microsoft Certified engineer. The engineer will get to know the school ICT infrastructure and the staff and be proactive in maintaining the schools ICT services.

With forward thinking and many years of experience in school ICT support our engineers are able to make savings in the purchasing of new equipment along with fixing any mal-functioning hardware. During a regular scheduled visit the engineer would provide the following as a core service;

Computer and laptop repair
Software installation
Projector maintenance
Printer maintenance and consumable supply
Staff training
Class teaching
Networking (wireless and wired)
IT purchasing
IT health and safety

All of our engineers have a working knowledge of the services provided by the Local Education Authority such as the Learning Platform, the Oxfordshire Schools Gateway and Sims Central.

All engineers are covered by public liability insurance to the value of £5,000,000 and are CRB checked.

Ad-hoc visits

Ad-hoc visits are charged at our standard rate of £30 per hour with a minimum charge of £30. Ad-hoc support is ideal for schools who don’t necessarily have the budget or want the commitment of a support contract.

In an ad-hoc visit we can cover all of the above.

Server installations, wireless and wired networking and projector and interactive whiteboard installations.

A robust and well-planned network is crucial in any environment including schools. With our experience and knowledge of windows networks based around Windows Server 2008 and XP, Vista and Windows 7 clients we are confident that we can supply and configure the right solution for you.

Many of our installations are planned well in advance and often take place over a weekend or school holiday to avoid disruption and come complete with training and documentation on the full configuration.

To further enhance the use of ICT in schools, we have experience in installing ceiling mounted projectors and interactive whiteboards. As well as installing, we can supply these items and any accessories.
